1. How do I sign up with Discount Power for service?
- You can quickly and easily sign up for service online at www.DiscountPower.biz or by phone at 281-207-1284 or 877-909-Power (7693).

2. When I sign up, how long will it take for my Discount Power service to begin with Discount Power?

» If you're switching from another provider, you'll begin receiving electricity from us after your next regularly scheduled meter reading, usually within 4–6 weeks. You'll receive your first bill from Discount Power about four weeks after that.
» If you're starting service at a new location, your service can begin a minimum of two business days after you sign up.

Please keep in mind that you may be required to satisfy certain requirements, such as paying a deposit or providing valid ID, and delays in satisfying these requirements can delay your start date.

3. How many options do I have to pay my bill?

» The best options is to sign-up with our ACH service which will charge your bank account automatically when you have a new bill. This way you can be sure that you don’t miss that due date and avoid any late fees. Best of all its Free.
» Second options is paying by Credit Card. Please go www.DiscountPower.biz and sign-in to your account to pay your bill.
» Third option is to pay by Check, Money Order or Cashier’s Check which you can mail to Discount Power at 19901 Southwest Freeway, Suite #212, Sugar Land TX 77479.

4. What is an acceptable form of identification, and where do I send it?
Acceptable forms of identification to set up an account with Discount Power:
» Valid state driver’s license or identification card*
» Social security card*
» Passport
» Military ID
» Government employee ID
» Department of Corrections ID
» Alien Registration card

Please fax a copy of one of the above to 281-781-2299, and include the following information on the fax cover sheet (allow one business day for processing):
» Your account number from Discount Power
» Name on the account
» Address that will be receiving electricity
» Your contact phone number
» Your Cell phone number

Please note that failure to provide valid identification may result in a delay of your requested date for electric service.
*These are the only forms of ID that are acceptable for online enrollment.

5. What is an acceptable form of identification, and where do I send it?
» Yes, a Retail Electric Provider (REP) designated by the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) is charged with establishing and enforcing procedures to ensure the reliability of the regional power network. The REP must account for the production and delivery of electricity among generators and all other market participants. All REP procedures are subject to PUCT oversight and review.

6. A deposit is required before my service can begin with Discount Power. How can I full-fill this requirement?
You have several options for paying your deposit:
» Online with a bank account or credit card; you can set up online access to pay now
» By calling 281-207-1284 or 877-909-Power (7693).
» Walk-In to our payment Center
» By mailing your payment to Discount Power at 19901 Southwest Freeway, Suite #212, Sugar Land TX 77479

7. Will I have to pay a deposit to begin service?
- A deposit may be required depending on your payment history and your credit score; if so, you'll need to satisfy this requirement before your service can begin.

8. Do you offer alternatives to paying a deposit?
You may be able to arrange for one of the following as an alternative to paying a deposit.

» Satisfactory credit reference letter from your prior electricity provider. Ask the provider to fax this to 281-781-2299, or by mailing your payment to Discount Power at 19901 Southwest Freeway, Suite #212, Sugar Land TX 77479.
» Satisfactory Guarantee Agreement from a credit-worthy Discount Power customer. Call us and provide the name, address, phone number and Discount Power account number of a customer who will sign a guarantee agreement for you.
